Very early Ruby - little details/differences...
#1
I am currently restoring a very early Ruby, it has quite a few differences to the later cars.

Brake light switch...

Petrol filler hose clamp (before and then after restoration by Andrew Goodfellow).

It is within the first three months of production Jon - so well above those numbers.

Great pictures Ruairidh and excellent work by Andrew Goodfellow as usual...that brake light switch looks like an early Lucas motor cycle one to me!

It could be the same - what year was it used on motorcycles please?

From Memory the brake light switch looks like the one on my 1934 RP (registered June 34)

I know the owner who reports that it's all original with the logbook stating:
Registered 7/11/1934
Model A.R.2. 3876
Chassis 204386
Engine 204754

It appears to have stayed with the original owner (or possibly the second) until 1964.

That would make perfect sense Bruce.
