Saturday's Batho Trophy Scatter Rally was part of the Inter-Register calendar, organised by Worcester Riley Owners. Austin Sevens bravely ignored the disparity between a weather forecast predicting a sunny autumn day and the reality of snowy slush and strong winds. Messrs Crouch and Fox deserved a medal for enduring a whole rally in the almost wholly unprotected Stumpi trials special. The organisers sat at the computer adding up figures, and actually acclaimed Nettie and Adrian Bradshaw in the richly patinated Chummy as 2nd in the NoviceĀ Class, and Colin Barratt telling Steve Kay where to go in the Ruby managed 2nd in the Experts class. We managed a quick photo in the gathering dusk.
Previewing the post shows the hastily improvised radiator muff using an Australian wine cardboard box all too evident.
