Can anyone tell me what a LRM cylinder head is? Does it offer a performance advantage?
I am currently building a large valve engine. What is the best cylinder head to optimise performance?

LRM = Lee Racing Motors I think and in my opinion the best of the crop of 1950s tuning heads. It flows well and has tolerably high compression. However, as with most 50s aluminium stuff the metal is less good than the more modern ones. Find a good one, though, and it’s worth having.

Designed by Roy Lee. Good enough to win the Goodacre Trophy in its day.
