Ringing at three churches this morning for St George’s day, ringing went well, Austin went better!

I drive mine most days, so don't worry about a special excuse to use it. Yesterday I connected a battery to a starter motor on a spare engine and spun it over... now does anyone know what fittings I need for an oil pressure pipe?

The Sheffield group had a good turnout for "Drive it Day/St.George's Day" with around 24 of us enjoying a morning coffee at "The Robin Hood" above Baslow, followed by a memorial run for George Astell around the Peak District. We finished with lunch at the now frequently-visited Crispin Inn in Great Longstone. In contrast to the Sevens that spent a lot of the day in low gears, the 12 that accompanied up managed most of the run in the top.
The two 1934 Rubies make an interesting contrast: Anne's restored and James Smith's unrestored, very original version.

I built the engines in both those Rubies.

Put me down for next year's run. I'll set off tomorrow!
