With the warmer weather, I enjoy being able to spend time checking over the car in comfort prior to more extended use - testing the tightness of various bits, looking for trouble, giving this and that an intelligent shake. Found that the new battery needed clamping a bit tighter, but otherwise no surprises so far this year. However, in the past have found unexpected issues - for example, a halfshaft nut that had come loose after ten plus years. Always good to check if corrosion is starting anywhere new, or if any of those little blighters have made a fresh holes in the woodwork (not ringed with a pencil). Just opened the sunroof to the sunset and brushed away the cobwebs - well, the forecast is good for the rest of the week...
