Lambswool in my own Chummy - lovely it is too.
I believe Barry Clarke produced (financed?) a run of the original weave many years back so I understand, does anyone know if it can still be purchased?

Has anyone thought of or tried to use studs and nuts to hold the starter housing down? My thought is that using Loctite to set a stud would mean that the threads in the crankcase wouldn't be subject to repeated tightening and loosening.

Erich,
On some A7s there isn’t enough room to get the housing high enough to pass over the studs.

After my welding repair I use studs. Works fine.
I also use studs for the sump for the same reason
