Magneto for 1924

Does anyone know which magneto should be fitted to a late 1924 car? I have BLICs but it's been suggested the correct mag should be a Scintilla.

My 1924 car came with a Blic.

If you have BLICs and they work, I should use them.

As Blics are more commonly available, I'll go down that route. Presently having one rebuilt.

BLIC is the one that would have been fitted on your car.
Scintilla were fitted from 1922 through to early 1924 (feb)

Looks like it was definitely a B.L.I.C AR-4 that was used post Scintillas which were fitted up to August 1923 - according to Butler Bros ' Electrical Equipment of the Car' Vol 2 (1926).

Incidentally the Foreword of the above series of manuals was written by the man himself - Sir Herbert Austin.
