As the Centenary event wound down on the Saturday afternoon and those who had attended for just one day began to depart, the team in the reception area were approached by a number of people asking if various items that had been in the goody bags were available to purchase.
There was a small surplus of some items and a spur of the moment decision was made to allow some purchases to be made. In retrospect it might have been a better decision to have held back the items but in a fast moving situation the team made decisions that we are happy to stand by.
If you didn't know about the opportunity or missed out, we can only apologise but in the end not all the requests could ever have been accommodated as we simply did not have the requested quantity of spare stocks.

I really hope this Ebay sale doesn't mar things for people. As many others have said, and I make no apology for repeating, the whole event was a triumph of event planning and organisation. Sir Herbert would have approved.

Maybe a large proportion of the £107 that the eBay seller of the Attendees Centenary Badge made will be donated to the organisers of the event or to the benefactor of The Parkinson's Disease Society. That would be very good.

Parkinsons is the beneficiary of proceeds from the separately organised Prescott Festival. The Centenary Event was not a fund-raising event.

I didn't attend the event and I can see the desire for a nice dash or rad shell badge to mark the centenary. Perhaps this is just filling the gap.
NB I wouldn't buy one of these as I wasn't there, and 75 quid is way beyond what I could justify for a " might be nice to have" item.

For clarity, the cost of the entry ticket covered site rental, entertainment, security, insurance and aspects relating to displays etc.
The Goody bag and Attendance plaques were met entirely by the generosity of private sponsorship, not attendees pockets.
