Sorry, but even after all these years this sort of thing still leaves me baffled and irritated.

Sad I just don't see the point. Huh

"Still a bit of work to finish it off" = I've done the easy bits, but I don't know how to do what's left!

Dare I say that the body once adorned what is now an Ulster style special?

Judging by the work being done by the trolley jack and axle stands in the first photo, it should have been advertised as 'a pile of disparate components'

It’s a shame it’s been chopped because the body itself looks pretty sound and could have helped a Ruby owner who needs a decent body.

Not wishing to labour the point but what exactly IS the attraction??.  When I was a teenager it was very much the in thing to make a hot rod out of an otherwise scrap car but the scarcity of pre War cars now makes it nothing short of vandalism.

In my opinion, it's a bit like returning to the Barry Bucknell days of Victorian house "modernisation". Sad

Yes, so would I, but it would be a proper job, not like what we have here.

I have to say the car in the ad is not what I would call proper hot rod building...some of the hot rods I’ve seen are real masterpieces, but I would never condone rodding a rare car.
