If anyone is in attendance tomorrow and can take some decent photos of the drivers' parade in Sevens, I am keen to publish a little piece in the next Grey Mag  Wink

so its F1 drivers in Sevens? or just any drivers in parading Sevens? Which would be a bit of a tautology...

they ought to live stream it at Beaulieu somehow...

Yes, Jon, it's the F1 drivers in Sevens! I understand the Seven parade is at lunchtime today, Friday, not the Sunday parade, so it may or may not be televised - not that affects me, as I don't have a television!

Thanks, Mike, I'll watch it today and, if it happens, try to get some shots. I'm sure that professional photographers there will also be filming. The race-day parade is usually on the back of a lorry with incisive interviews where drivers all say the same thing, "We'll have to wait and see."

The GP is available online at Channel 4's website. If you need to create a Channel 4 account, it's free.

David Howe has just advised me the Austin Seven - 20 cars each carrying one of the F1 drivers - parade is on Sunday at 1pm, so that should be covered by the TV broadcast.

Checking the Channel 4 guide it seems the British Grand Prix coverage doesn't start until 1.30  Sad

Hi mike,

Dont worry, they might still be televised. As much of the pre race, is showing what's already happened over the weekend. Inc practise, and qualifying.

I heard last week this was going ahead, I take it the midlands club were contacted??? Only a guess.

Let hope they represent all 17 years of manufacture, and although we all love saloons. When they are showing drivers to the crowd, I hope they are all open tops Angel

As suggested above, a live feed to beaulieu would be nice, OH and a big screen TV please.

Yes - Sunday at 1pm - confirmed by one of those taking part...

They have to be scrutineered at 10am 'at operating temperature' and will be fitted with a nappie if dropping too much oil!!

Edit: a far wider appeal than the Midlands Club.. and open cars, yes..

I wonder if they will put Hamilton in the Waterski special. (Or indeed, if the drivers get to choose in any way).
