#1
Dated 1928 - but surely a little later.

Very impressive. Not trouble with overheating....

Fabulous. The last section with the standard Chummy is to my mind even more impressive.  Reminds me of Steve and myself on that VSCC Exmoor Trial that had to be cancelled due to the marshals in their 4 x 4's not getting to their sections.

The boat-tail 2-seater was introduced in late-1928, but this one has the wing-style of late-1929 or early-1930, and probably wasn't brand-new when it was converted. I would suggest the film dates from the early 1930s.

That's an incredible bit of footage. I can't wait to buy the A7 snow track kit when it has passed homologation.

This newspaper would suggest the date was 1932.

I drove my father’s Chummy up the access road to this mountain in 1996 - there are some previous posts and information about the film on here or the old site, somewhere…

I recall talking to you about this a few years ago, Ruaridh. I looked a few things up at the time and made some notes - lost now! However, i do recall that Cedarwall-Larsen was a regular on the Monte Carlo Rally for a few years in the early and mid 30s, twice with an Austin 10 I think. I also remember that on one of the Montes, while still in Scandinavia, he and his co driver came across a competing vehicle that had left the road and broken through the ice of a frozen lake. They were in time to rescue the occupants, who survived.
