Some help please,
Below is a proper ML magneto, as pictured in the 1927 parts book.
Not easy to get, and this one had to have a few parts made for it to get it to work.
However there is no wear to put the wire to cut out the mag and stop the engine.
The picture below is the end cap from the larger ML magneto fitted to blown ulsters
So does this meen the cab needs this court out wire fitting.
The next problem is, the first mag has an external cam. And the points spin around.
Were as the broken cap pictured from the ulster mag. Has a central cam shaft like a coil Distributer. So the points are fixed.
So the big question is does the cutout wire come of the centre bolt of the points wilst they are spinning around.
If so does anyone have a cap for sale they dont need.
Any help appreciated.
