We'll be bringing the "Biggs" along for our first ever trial.
Be gentle with us!

Now we have raided the vintage tractor for fuel for the tow car we will be there. No fuel anywhere near us the last few days.

A super time was had by all at Cobham today. Very many thanks to the organising team and the marshals. Fairly slippy start with dew on the grass and bluebell greenery in abundance. Later, as the sun and breeze dried the hills we began to see some impressive performances. In between competing I took a few snaps:

Having won the Cobham trial at my first and only attempt of trialling back in 1996 ( in my Ruby BXE 95 ) I was given a little plaque, because nobody could find the original trophy !!!!
any chance it's still about so I can see what I would have won?????

I am proud to say that I won it this year and have the plaque!
It records a R. Barnett for 1996 - so hopefully this is you!
Great day out and many, many thanks to all the organisers and marshals.
Cobham is just a fantastic venue and  it was great to be back.
I will get the photo posted by a man who knows how!
Bob Thompson.

I think R Barnett would have been Ray Barnett, Bob. With his wife, Christine, a successful VSCC trialer who also had a Edwardian Knox that he raced. Retired from competition in around the mid 2000's, sold up and went travelling the world. A good friend of Malcolm and I bought up all his A7 spares. Ray's trials car is still around and was sold to a new owner quite recently.
