Could we just put this to bed now? There are some people who are not supporters of the event, for their own personal reasons, there are people who are disappointed that they didn't get tickets and then there are all the people who are looking forward to it. Let's just leave it at that...

They have lots of Dogs on site !!!!
And a Big Fire Hose or two for crowd control.
Dogs on site ? that's why we are not going as it's no dogs, luckily Beaulieu is more accomodating.

for me, the day at prescot sounds like the best day of the week.
not trying to put the rest of the week down, so dont try to suggest it.
its just, the rest of the week is for socialising evenings. runs during the day. (which im sure if you are not booked in you are still allowed to use the same roads on the same days. and a big static event on the saterday.
if you are worried you are missing all those bargains on the jumble. the likely hood is they were all snapped up 3 weeks earlier at 750.
so surely if you havent booked the centenary for whatever reason.
go to the day at prescot, austin 7s you wouldnt have seen before going up the hill. a parking area full of 7s. most of the rear and unusual will be there. and its a ONE DAY event.
as a trader, ive had more than enough people say they have missed the booking. mainly because they are outside of any catchments. they JUST own a seven.
ive suggested prescot to them, and they are all as far as the excitement went. going for one day at prescot.
turn up in your 7, and enjoy.

Strangely, considering all that's been said about this celebration at Moreton, a dog in the manger situation is subtlety present.

Oh dear gad, this is utterly tiresome.
I have every sympathy with those who tried to enter and could not get a ticket but the constant harping on about how the organisers are going to to have “sort out” this and “sort out that” from people who have publicly dissed the event - from the start - is beyond any reason.
Get a grip and move on, it is utterly boring and not a little sad.
You need only be offended if all of the above fits you, everyone else can ignore this and pass on by.
