With all the machining involved must have been expensive new. Incredible that such a unique device had accumulated so many drill holes. Surprisng with such deep rust that everything came apart so easily. His torch seems to pack a punch. No messing about with a bed of coke, firebricks etc. Cast iron welds I have encounter were too hard to file.
With toys like that who needs a Seven?

The device would offer garage "mechanics" scope for even more imaginative vice jaw marks than already encountered. Except my own car all seem to have marks on stub axles. And many on the dynamo journals, including the plain bearing...
