Prideauxs' Garage in The Square, Barnstaple. There's obviously a very large standing logo above the Prideauxs' name on the buildings frontage but it's difficult to make out the precise design. I've included an enlargement of it.

One can assume they used Austin chassis as they were listed as Austin dealers from at least 1929 and still operating 10 years later at premises in Bradford Road Batley Yorkshire. Their corporate head office was indeed at Dewsbury but another firm E.A.Golby had the Austin franchise there.

Batley and Dewsbury are only about 4 miles apart, with the same Bradford Road running through both. There is still an undertaker called Box to this day, listed as Bradford Road, Dewsbury.

Hi Russell,
I have a complete copy of Publication No 915A Austin Dealers in the United Kingdom, with 32 pages covering Aberdeen (page 3) to York (page 31)
Plus another unfortunately minus front and back cover which I believe would have had 40 pages and covers Aberdeen (page 4) to Woodford Green (page 38) - presumably the rest were on the inside back cover.
Does this give enough information to date the second one ?
Cheers, Tony.
Hi Tony if your page 6-7 looks like the image below with a foot note on the bottom of page 6 then you have 1338A 1937, it is the only one I have seen with a footnote. If you can let me know what it says that would be good. page 4 and 38 is as you describe, I can send you the missing pages it it helps, it is a scan of a photocopy. Thanks

Hi Douglas,
That is the one - on page 6 there is a small sticker:
'Please Note- OXTON CARRIAGE Co. Ltd. Woodchurch Rd. should appear under the heading BIRKENHEAD.'
I would like a copy of the front and back covers, thank you.
