Doubt if "prams re tyred" was a slogan. People walked considerable distances. Pram tyres wore thin and stretched and became loose. (Even before use on boyhood trolleys). i was recently reading a family history and in what is now a suburb children 80 years ago footed it 6 miles each way to school!!
