Today, was a day for doing something for myself.

Many may know we have a blown ulster.

Bought, swapped, traded? 4 years ago. As a van full of bits, a big kit.

The chassis and body are now done, and today I trailed it to Kent to see robert foreman. Who has rebuilt the engine.

And it's now ready to be fitted to the car.

Robert's work is second to none, so know he has the responsibility of getting it to fit. And more importantly making it run.

Hope you like to pics, I loved them.

is Robert Foreman specialise in rebuilding blown engine with supercharge? or was it a one off? many thanks

Hi edgar,

Robert has a large knowledge of most if not all thing austin 7, and especially ulsters.

Well taught by his father john, who has also had a long history of sevens.

Robert likes his machining work to be very accurate, which is definitely needed on blowers.

The cozette 4 on the engine, is the original. Which robert has rebuilt.

Definitely looking forward to hearing it myself. Even more so driving it.

The plan is, if I do the 100th anniversary. This would be on of the cars I take.

ive sed it before, i cant understand why sports engines are put under benches.

save them for the future? so who are they being saved for?
its to valuable to risk bracking? well its worthless under that bench.
i cant afford to repair it if i break it? well you will never know when its under the bench. plus a standard engine is not cheap to repair
and so on.

i say use and enjoy it if you own it. if it does break. you can then decide wheather to repair or replace it. 

needless to say, my decision is to use it Wink
