'The Itch' has terribly uncomfortable front seats. The bases have been constructed 'flat' and have very little padding. As a result, my derriere was in danger of falling off when I got home yesterday. Does anyone have any original sprung Chummy seat bases surplus they might be prepared to part with please?

David Nightingale has my pattern for an original spring base and can re-create these. They're very comfortable.

perhaps that pattern could be put into the public domain if its yours, Parazine?

The other option would be making up some seat bags with fatty MTB tubes to replace the original system, if you didnt want to be too high in the car...
