Oil jet blockage
#21
I would 3rd the Diesel idea. Although id only take half the oil out first - running the stuff neat may be somewhat overkill. Diesel is an excellent lubricator so shouldn't do any harm for a short time.

It did a terrific job of fixing a noisy lifter on my old 3L BMW Z4

Hi All

For completeness here is a couple of pics of my oil pressure warning light.  The switch was £18 from Tameson and the warning light about £6 off eBay. I made up the T piece but I think you could probably find one on eBay.

So far it seems to work OK. It is set at 16psi which might be a bit high and the light glows brightly on start up but soon goes off as the oil warms up.

Cheers

Howard

PS The second image insists on being sideways and I can’t seem to change it!
