Bobby Kohlrausch Rubber Duck

I came across these pics and wondered if anyone knew any more about the engine/chassis specification of this particular car, i gather it was one of the works' racers acquired by Kohlrausch and developed and raced in Germany '32 and '33. These are the only pics i could find of the car in this form.

Did it have the works multistud blown engine & offset transmission? 

I just love the shape of it, it's high on my list of 'pretty A7 racer bodies i'd love to replicate'!

    The same photograph featured on the cover of the 750 MC Bulletin February 1962, with the following caption. In those days when Colin Peck was club secretary it was the club that catered for Austin 7's. Sadly this is no longer the case, fortunately I still have my cast alloy radiator badge.

The fourth Austin Seven single-seater racing car to survive the war, and discovered by Wally Watton, of the Midland Centre at Longbridge. One of the side-valve supercharged models, it was in use until 1939, mainly as a sand racer. Austin's have loaned the car to Wally for "safe-keeping." See the Midland Centre Newsletter.

Thanks for the pics Tony & Henry, it's a beautiful bit of kit. I love the steering box casting that also neatly forms the rear engine mounting.

Yes he does look a bit like Issigonis in the nose department, but Kohlrausch didn't have the dimple-in-the-chin!
