A bit off piste on this ancient thread, but the last time I was at the new Wembley Stadium - to watch a football match, about ten years ago - there were two Gordon England Sevens displayed on one of the upper floors, suspended/mounted on the wall/ceiling... Does anyone know if they are still there, and are they on the Register? (I can't remember which models but presumably a Cup and a Stadium?). Shame they are not 'on the road' and being used.

The Stadium belongs to Val Brookes and is very much being used, the display was a temporary one, I forget what it was for however.
If you have a photo of the other car I may be able to add more detail...

Hi This is the Cup that was at Wembley Stadium. Ruairidh should have the owners details.
Perhaps the GE Register should have a 100th Anniversary Memorial Rally in 2025? ( or was it later Tom Abernethy?)at Wembley Stadium?
We could drive round the Pitch like the Morris Minors did at the Commonwealth Games :-)
All the best

That looks to be James A’s car - normally on display at Brooklands I think, he will confirm for sure.

Hi Mike
So are you suggesting Le Mans or Boulogne
as the most appropriate venue :-)
Someone could write to the Le Mans organisers or just the Mayor?
All the best

There is always more convenient Bolton - twinned with Le Mans... and has a particularly nice civic area (as everyone who has watched Top Gear will know).
