A classic ploy, there are so many traders who will buy a machine, strip it into parts and sell them piecemeal. Motorcycles are a favourite for this butchery.

In total agreement with you Duncan, I’ve seen it so many times and it just saddens me...I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner has sold the registration plate already...
On social media when the same was suggested the vendor said:
"it's not a complete car, the bits photographed are just a few in the house, I have multiples of almost all parts. The body was left over I believe when this car and others got split to build racing specials." He's also posted some other details and pictures of racing memorabilia he found when clearing his uncle's workshop. c
