Ah, those Austin Seven in the Lakeland memories. Going up, slow but splendid. Going down, passenger decides to walk and driver wonders whether to resume religion.

Yes our lakes holiday was lovely, drove up there from stow on the wold, spent a week driving round the lakes and drove home. No issues with the car apart from hardknott pass where we developed a fearsome clutch slip..... not enough too stop us but enough to get a round of applause of some ramblers at the summit!
The photo was taken shortly after that.....

Burghley update..... it’s back on road.... did a 6mile round trip to do the weekly shop.
All ok but new brake shoes will be first on the to do list !

Hi Tom, great that you’ve now got the Burghley up and running again. When all this virus thing is over we should have another thrash around the North Cotswolds, you and Kate in the Burghley and Christine and myself in the Super Sports, a pub lunch should be included in the planning.

Hi Paul..... yes it’s so unusual too have so much free time so the Burghley was quite high on the to do list...... somewhere in between laying sitting room floorboards and welding up new brackets for garage doors!!!
Anyway it’s running.
Yes let’s meet up as soon as it’s safe to do so for a long overdue catch up.
