Jubilee No 5
#1
Having very thinly disguised redneck tendencies, and time on my hands, I dug out a nice old inlet manifold wolf whistle and thought I would hitch it up to my chummy in place of the windscreen wiper.
It's a 50s Jubilee number 5 made in the USA by the Jubilee Mnfct Co. of Ohama Nebraska.
I joined it to the rubber hose, pulled on the valve.... and nothing. The revs dropped a bit, but that was the total effect.
I blew down the whistle and it made an utterly fantastic noise- so it works.
Is the problem that this was made for a bloody great American V8, and the 750 side valve suck is simply not enough?
I had harboured fond notions of cruising around Wells being non PC with it, but the signs are not good.

I hope you find a solution Steve - this brings back memories of an old Mini in my youth. Great fun.

Could it be that you are blowing, but the engine is sucking.
If it is a siren it will only work if it is rotating correctly.
