Hi I am a brand new member,
I am wondering you guys know of any spares availability in the USA? I’m expecting my A7 to arrive over here early in the NewYear.

Probably not a lot, have a look at the Cherished Suppliers page, I am sure that they will be more than happy to send anything across the pond you that might need.

the bantam club, used to stock a number of parts. most of which were supplied through uk stockists.

ive not seen them at hershey for several years now, so i dont know if they are still stocking parts. or even going.

i usually attend hershey, so if you need anything from 7 county austins. (within reason ). you are welcome to collect it there.

usual meeting point at the doughnut stand in chocolate field. Big Grin

if not as suggested, im sure all the cherrished suppliers will post out.

The "Cherished Suppliers" link on this site is not very helpful. Far more useful is https://oldcarservices.co.uk/austin-seven-specialists/ (we're on it!).

If your car still has its original UK registration, have you taken steps to retain it, if it ever comes home?

Always happy to talk Opals, even though current thought is that we don’t own Opals but two seat tourers
I am always interested in any information about Rosengart details or current owners.

Hi Claw, welcome to wonderful world of Austin Sevens. I am in the Seattle area, and get my spares sent from the UK. Shipping costs are quite reasonable, though shipping back to the UK for any repairs is high, thank highway robbery from the USPS. There are owners with spares in Vancouver BC. Where are you located?

Thanks so much for all of the great info. folks. I’ll reachout as you all suggest. I am in Ocean Township NJ. There appears to be some American Austin spares availability in the Tri-State area too. Anyone know if any of the mechanicals are interchangeable with a British Austin 7?

Hi Steve,
I am Intrigued by your Opal. Can you send me some pics?  Mines needs some work. My Dad did a great job on it, but it has a fuel problem That I need to get to the bottom of. Looking forward to getting into it. I read the turbo pages the othe day. OMG. That is an ambitious project!

Thanks for reaching out Eric. I am looking forward to building my network I’ll definitely need some help and advice.

Thanks for the tip Nigel. Every little bit of info. helps.

I wondered why I didn’t see the name anymore. My Dad always called it the Opal. At one time he owned a Ruby, a Pearl, and the Opal. I got the Opal at 17 (43 years ago). My sister got the Pearl, which she still owns, and my Dad kept the Ruby for many years but then went on to own every model of saloon until he fell for the four seater tourer, which he still rally’s in at age 85 as part of the Scottish Austin seven club.

Hi Martin. I doesn’t have the original v5. It’s a replacement. My Dad transferred the original number since it had sentimental value. AS1492. So it’s on one of his cars now. I don’t think my Austin will return to UK. But you never know. Thanks for the tip.
