Distributor lube
#1
Just cleaning up a DJ4  to use and there is no grease/Oil attachment on the side.  Stripped down a later distributor (auto advance unit ) and could see the bushes inside, but the DJ4 looks to have no bushes but a threaded hole and a wick the length of the distributor body.

So is the early distributor lubricated with oil via the threaded hole (and bent pipe if I had one ) or grease with a plunger type attachment ?
Also what thread is it ( for the lube hole ) ?

Thanks Paul

I'm not terribly familiar with the DJ4 myself but perhaps this helps?

This is my DJ4 showing the screw down greaser used for lubrication. The screw top "No1" is very easy to lose and mine fell off somewhere never to be seen again. If nobody else knows the thread off the top I can have a look tomorrow when I'm back in the garage.

Looks Good
Did you ever take it apart and see the wick type material running through the body ?
How often and what type of grease do you use
Thanks Paul

Bog standard multi-purpose, extremely sparingly. I am unsure why DJ4s seem to be lubricated by grease, but DK4s have an oiler. I have not stripped mine down.
