This has been posted on Facebook, and worth putting the link here to some of the (Fabric Saloon) images for those that don't use it:

This car helped with the identification of 'Tapestry' cloth type as there were chalked markings behind the interior trim. It also has some nice stencilling and painted 'export' EX mark on the rear crossmember.

This is a lovely project; I can think of several cars which would have benefitted from this approach in the past.

Does anyone know how they have preserved the steel panels? They look as thought they've simply been oiled but I'm sure it's more sophisticated than that.

Julian recommended Owatrol to me, which is the same sort of thing I'm sure. I noticed the oil gums up the plastic screw top after a month or so. I think the ankor might possibly be better value for the size...

I was determined to use the owatrol on the woodie but I've noticed that there are areas I've decided to go with matt black phosphate-rich paint instead, just because of footfall or the practicalities of use. I'll be very interested to hear what their approach has been with those surfaces which have a thick rust top surface i.e. what does 'stabilisation' actually entail there? (my addictive Acid bathing of small parts seems impossibly invasive but does seem to just remove rust and leave the remaining patina of original paint and steel behind. I was amazed what it did to an old Lucas control box which I couldnt really identify any of the four terminals. Now practically useable)
