NEW brake drums
#11
Hello!
I have to admit that I have not yet thought about replacing my old brake drums (They have been on my car for 25 years now) but I am aware of the fact that it is a question of time until I need some. Which drums would be suitable for my RP 1934 box saloon (By the way what is the precise name / size of suitable drums for my car anyway) and what is the url of your homepage Tony?
Thanks a lot in advance
Frank

Erich yes semi-Girling is strictly correct but more effort to say and write!

All I can say is take a look at a modern brake drum and compare it with an A7 - they are tragically thin to start with and skimming only makes them thinner. I've worked on cars where the stiffening band added to a brake drum to limit ovality was more than the mass of an entire A7 drum!

Bravo to Tony for sorting out some new ones. If anything like his past stock I'm sure they are a good buy.
