The "Neverwas" AVQ van goes home at last!

At least no-one can accuse you of giving a false description of the van rear end Martin! You might do well to sell it!

All the above arouses curiosity as to how the various original van floors were supported?

Bob, see Martin's third photo - there's a substantial metal extension at the back of the floorpan.

Bob - Mike's answered that one for me. The sub-frame is closely based on what was fitted to the late AVK vans.

Nick - I never cease to be amazed at what will sell on Ebay. Despite the description, I have 11 watchers already. The damn thing's SO heavy that I'd probably get the £50 start price just by weighing it in!

Thanks. Very substantial by Seven standards.

I missed that, we'll have to put them in this end then!

Fantastic Job Mr Prior, very happy customers this end.

Actually, I think there should be four ventilation holes in each back door - at least according to contemporary Austin advertising literature.

The door linings I replaced on my own AVJ also had four, but I cannot vouch for their originality!

PS - Congratulation, Martin, on a wonderful piece of work.

Rick, you may well be right - I'm relying on fifty year old memory!

Rick's correct.

Not a great picture, but this AVK is the newest known surviving Austin Seven.  The original door card, with four holes, is clearly visible.
