Perzackly. If Chris has found a work-around I'd be delighted to hear about it!

I have tried to leave a comment directly on their blog but cannot get through the posting procedure.
If you are reading this, Chris, Helen, and Arthur, good luck in your exciting adventure. Safe driving!

Perhaps I'm a bit behind the times, but I wish it was only my petrol pump which leaked oil!
It has once or twice occurred to me though that if I didn't 'consume' oil I could increase my luggage space by a gallon or so when touring... I'm not in touch with Chris either but if he's having any trouble by the time he reaches St. Petersburg I have contacts there who might be prevailed upon for assistance. Can also suggest a decent hotel if the Hull experience repeats itself!

As I have said elsewhere I am experimenting with silicon gaskets wherever I can use them. Including replacing some fibre washers.
The car is not perfectly oil tight, but not far off it. Coincidentally, I also have a leak apparently coming from the petrol pump area. I think a new silicon gasket has fixed it, not sure yet.

The pumps normally leak from the arm shaft - wears the pump body.
