surely better the movable 4 poster with removable castor attachments for same or less price than the scissors. Better underneath access and if you want you can role it out of the garage out of the way (as long as you have hard standing outside)......you don't have to use its full height ability in the garage but could do when rolled outside.

I like the theory of these and the flexibility.
The downside s where do you store them when not in use? They must be bloody heavy and take up a lot of space. The scissor at least sits on the floor.

I'm surprised that there aren't any plans for a scissor lift using a propriety hydraulic ram such as this https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-c...-and-hose/

I use this for changing steering boxes, sump-removal, exhaust systems etc. it is extremely useful.

It raises a further foot, maybe 2, and I had plans to extend the legs and attach a cradle to lift the whole car vertically but have since been offered a scissor lift.

I have to agree these give better access underneath but at 2.5mtr wide you could just about get 2 sevens side by side on it.
Mine has a footprint of 1.3mtr x 2.5 mtr so don't loose a lot of space in (my) tight workshop.

I have been offered one of these or something very similar. I think with a little modification it will be a very useful tool for Seven work.
