dip.jpg (Size: 274.28 KB / Downloads: 285) Well, you must have a magic reserve; when I checked on the back road it with your dip stick - the lovely, angled, red-fibre type with its fine, nickel-plated top - it was empty. I suppose the stick could be the wrong length...?

Well, as they say in Yorkshire, “A good big ‘un always beats a good little un”. Though in the case of competition Austin 7s, perhaps the reverse is true. It how you use it/them that counts....

Actually, years ago I was shown a set of what were essentially very long and small diameter hole saws. They were to free seized cylinder heads. They were owned by an old guy who had worked on cars pre war. I’ve never seen another set.
