Higher performance than a "Waterski Special"!

Nice special that, its just shows that
austin sevens were made so that
We could build specials from them?
My problem I ask questions that other people don't like?
Like have you got that for an investment or for fun?

As a 1936 Morris 8 Tourer owner for 45 years, I agree entirely with Hedd - it's a 1930 to late 1933 Morris Minor van. Great photo though.

Just spotted one of these MM8 GPO vans in Mathewson Motor
museum at Thornton Le Dale.

Note semi elliptic from suspension on the beam axle.

The enterprising paddy had converted the front to fully elliptic

Perhaps this is the way forward to comply with the latest government proposal for a zero carbon footprint. Our sevens will be easy to convert! Big Grin
Might have to modify the exhaust arrangements for the horse....................

That's what I thought as soon as I saw the picture.

A major source of harmful emisisons in this country is methane emitted from the rear end of animals. A tax was proposed, was immediately labelled fart tax, and laughed into oblivion, although it will have to be revived.
Box shaped sv Morris 8s were quite common when I was young. Have never met anyone with experience or much knowledge of. An owner at a car show reckoned the agent after sale back up here was lacking and hence did not survive as Sevens. Appear solidly built. The fact that any amateur could lift out the engine seems to have kept many Sevens  alive (more or less)
