The sounds of the engine working indicate the climb was steeper than it looked in the video.

Onboard video rarely gives an idea of how steep is an incline or decline. I guess this is because the camera is fixed on the plane of the bonnet and you don't get any side reference to the steepness.  Some of the hills were suitably steep - and great fun.
