Bernard was given a good send-off today in the Abbotts Ann church which was packed with villagers and friends. The wicker coffin was transported up to the church on a vintage bier – I'm sure Bernard would have approved!

There was a splendid carpet of snowdrops outside the church, with more of them on the coffin.

Rosemary gave a splendid eulogy which caused much laughter at times. There were quite a few Austin 7 folk there, including Chris & Angie Gould, Steve Hodgson and Phil Baildon, together with a Box saloon and a Ruby.
