Hi mike,
Love the picture.
You are right, it doesn't show properly in black and white.
Problem is if the car is painted black body, red wings. As supplied by austin. It would have to be the correct red?
I'd be very interested if anyone has a colour picture of an original Ulster with red wings.
Otherwise we are looking at bugatti blue, with dark blue seats. And black wings. But that feels a bit ordinary to what I would usually do?
Thanks Tony.

As I said in a previous post, Triumph Signal Red 32 was a very close match - and no-one will know, anyway! Or you could go for all black with red upholstery ...

Hi mike,
Thanks for the pics, the triple black would be ideal. For me I think it's the only colour a sports car can be.
But not to sound to greedy, our supersports is also triple black.
And yes I agree the red looks a bit purple, for me it's to bright against the body. That's why I originaly thought of a really deep red.
Chris quite liking the red you have put against the black, can we call it RUST red. It looks good against the body. But is it Ulster?
It puts red wings back into contention.
Thank you both.
Any more knowledge of the original red?
Merry Christmas all Tony.

Hi mike,
It's perhaps my minds eye, but that's a bit glossy.
Perhaps ive got to put it against black.
It makes a very simple choice very difficult.

Tony, I've posted Chris' rendition in the Gallery (in the Test category at the moment), but I've tweaked the colour a bit further - have a look and see what you think.
