While it is too cold to be out in the garage -- a bit of fun. How old were you when you bought your first 747.5cc side-valve?

47. Bought an entire shed-full. Still have loads of ratty crankcases, some worn-out blocks and some heads. Probably not enough good bits to make 2 good engines. Not sure what to do with them.

If memory serves, about 17 years old when I bought a 1929 Austin Seven 'coach' that had been converted to a utility with a wooden tray behind a steel cab. This is not me but two owners and some years later - rather more battered than when I first found it.

Morning all. It was 1964 and I was 14 when my father bought me an incomplete 'Super Accessories' special to divert my attention from motor-cycles.
I completed the build and drove it until 1969 when I went off to college and it was swapped for a Vauxhall estate car. The special which was christened 'Coughing Connie' by my then girlfriend still exists in store at a local garage in company with a Mk 1 Pearl. Regards from the creative county - Staffordshire Stuart

I was 15 when I bought this in 1969. Only had it a couple of years, but went to visit it last summer.
I was 32 before I bought a seven. 2605_67693452124_5128132_n.jpg (Size: 46.3 KB / Downloads: 619)

I am always interested in any information about Rosengart details or current owners.

My brother and I were 13 and 14 respectively when in 1973 we blew £75 of our combined saving on AOV 816. Where is it now?

I’m a late starter. 72 years old when I bought my RP.
Need to keep going a few more years to catch up with you early starters! Roger
