Another dreich day in Borderland. The clutch
And flywheel in this car both had factory marks
Indicating 1:4 and 2:3 so re-aligned them to those marks.
Neil is making an alignment tool to centre
the splined shaft of the clutch plate so not fully bolted
up yet with the tab washers, plus still to double check
The lever positions so may need more attention.
I also sanded down the alloy valve chest cover
this morning , and tried out the Nyalic coating.
Very, very niffy but went on quickly with just a couple
of quick sprays from the aerosol. “Wetter” than
normal paint or lacquer. It’s supposed to be dried at
Above 12 C . The back porch is barely at that but too
niffy to bring somewhere warmer for just now.
I’d like to get a couple of warmer days to spray the scuttles and
the doors that would let me fit the floors, trim and seats which
Are all made. I may have to heat up the garage
With some oil radiators.
Nyalic is EXTREMELY flammable!
