Austin Chummy PO1388
#1
I was the owner of Austin Chummy PO1388 from 1958 till 1961. The last post that I have been able to trace was from Mike Crehan in 2012 on the old Site which is closed.
It is still taxed and due for renewal on Nov 1. I would like to contact the present owner or Mike, does any one know anything to help?

The car a 1929 AD Tourer is listed on the A7CA Chassis Register, but is described as an old entry last recorded in the year 2000 which might suggest that the owner or owners since that time haven't been members of an A7CA affiliated club. It seems from 2012 posts on the old forum that Mike Crehan was then based in Sussex, had more than one Austin 7 and appears to have had some involvement in the VSCC rally around Kent and East Sussex. It may be worth you contacting the VSCC to see if they can put you in contact with Mike.

Sorry Tony,

I didn't mean to upset you, but if you are asking for contact details it is probably better if you give your real name.

Tony.

Thanks Steve I shall have to try and find another way to find out if PO1388 is still in this country or went to NZ with him.

Given that it's just been re-taxed for another year and Mike Crehan's been back in NZ for at least 7 years it seems reasonable that the car's still in the UK.

Tony,

You could ask on the 'Austin Seven' Facebook Group Page if anyone knows the whereabouts of PO 1388. There are Austin 7 owners on there who are not members of an A7CA affiliated club - link below:
