Harrogate-NEC (Birmingham International)by train is £60.00 ish return booked in advance, less 30% if you have a senior rail card. No petrol, no driving, no queuing. Time to read and stare mindlessly out of the window.
I takes 3 1/2 hours whereas driving from here would be over 4 1/2 hours plus the stress, speed restrictions on the M1 at Nottingham etc.
I would love to go but I have a pal booked in for a major body-skinning project that weekend.
