First of the many, and I may have duplicated some.
Missed these with the NS rear inner arch repair post some time ago.
Grinding Tappets
The valve stems had made a perfectly round indentation in them that would make it nigh on impossible to set the gaps.
Something had to be done, and not having either a surface grinder or a working toolpost grinder (I need to sort it out) I came up with the perfect Heath Robinson method.
I used my high speed drilling machine and Dremel type grinding wheel.
After finishing on the drilling machine I finished off with a few rubs on the fine diamond abrasive.
Ready to assemble to see if valve stems making even contact.
Yes they do, and Heath Robinson winning the day once again.

Update.
I replaced that suds cooler pipe magnet with a magnetic DTI holder that is much stronger.
Mounted on the Workbench bolted to those two lengths of square tube.
Enough light I hope for grinding.
