Perhaps he hopes a trials or racing type novice will be interested. He'll be lucky as most know what they're looking at.

I've just had an email from a friend in France. He is looking for an Austin 7 and wondered if I would go to view it for him as he saw it advertised on Car&Classic for £9950.00 or near offer...
Without paperwork I think it would be almost impossible to register in France, even if it was worth the asking price.

Yep, forget it. If it's a special the FFVE will be very difficult regarding an attestation of authenticity which you need in order to get it registered.
