More excitement (for me) today as the repaired windscreen frame (thanks Nic) returned from the platers (thanks Nick)!

Tom Coates has sent me these excellent photos from the Fred Dash car - the clearly show the kink and I think I know why it is there...

Thank you Tom, really useful!

More evidence of the kink in the hinges - this is from Rob Champlin's Cup - No. 512...

Fabulous work and finish, dare I ask how much it cost to do? I've one or two windscreen frames that need similar work.

The work was done as a favour James as the company no longer plates car parts.

I can recommend these guys that I have used in the past: https://dougtaylor.co.uk/chrome-plating-gloucester/

What are you using for the seats? We discovered that Connolly do the deeply embossed leather as used on the originals, although at a price!...

I have just re-done my seats with a kit which Tony Betts made up to my design (copied from the Dash car) and using an inflatable cushion, I've had problems with the valves on the cushion but otherwise its great.

I have chosen the leather and will post once it’s completed for you Tom.

It is a grain I like, rather than one emulating the original type.
