Loctite is another solution but doesn't lend itself to on site application. I've changed a few fabric couplings in car parks, with the car parked on a slight incline remove the cover over the coupling and remove the 6 nuts releasing the handbrake slightly to allow the shaft to turn. On one occasion it was done from the passenger seat in the rain , with Sue in the pub, all was going well till a chummy parked in front which got told to move or be buffered up to.

I only use Loctite.
Quickly changed a coupling in less than half an hour on the rally field at Beaulieu on the Sunday morning.
