Randy - a couple here of interest plus Matthew's recent spreadsheet may help.... https://aus7in.wordpress.com/category/parts-list/
There may be better quality copies on the Association site.

Threads on your Zenith carb are metric. The screws holding the float chamber bowl to the carb body are m7 (course or fine?) I am not sure what the other threads are, fuel pipe union/nipple and jet threads plus emulsion block. Someone on here will be able to tell you. Also the Nippy/65 would have had a Zenith downdraught carb originally but again someone will be able to tell you the correct item.

Jon; thanks for the parts list links. I have #1406 but had not seen #1169. right now I am most interested in seeing what the LHD brake and clutch pedals are supposed to look like.#1406 lists LHD part #s but no illustrations. #1169 does not list LHD parts. I believe the steering column in my car is correct but the pedals are a mess.
Thanks
Randy

write something for the archive site with a few photos and we can put up an appeal - you need some lhd owners coming out of the shadows...

Hello, I have no idea if the pedals would be the same as a Nippy, but can send a photo of the pedals on our LHD Opal (ex USA) if that helps. Advice welcomed.
Charlie.

well since I last posted here I have gotten organized enough to start in on the nippy. got the left hand drive pedals figured out and will start on the body work from the bottom up. floors/sills/door jambs. checking for twists/bends I find the tail end is pushed to starboard about 5/8". otherwise things look pretty straight. I wonder what the original tolerances were at manufacture? I have rebuilt bodies from different manufacturers and find the japanese to be the most strict. even the germans will give you +/- 3-4mm in most cases.
thanks
Randy

Randy, modern Japanese cars are all machine made, so the tolerance are always quite exact. When your Nippy was made, things were hand built, so tolerances were greater. On the EA Sports models, they were made in several batches, and the chaps who made the bodies varied a bit in their aesthetics...some have a flatter top to the tail, others are more rounded. Though I'm less familiar with Nippies, they too would have had wider tolerences. If you are ever in the Everett/Mukilteo area, you can stop by to discuss and I can show you some things. Otherwise, if I am up in the Bellingham area, I will shoot you an email and can offer some advice. I presume you have the Woodrow book which is quite helpful.

In response to Ivor's post do you think there are more people in Washington who are randy? In view of recent big events may not be for much longer....
