Family photo discoveries

I suspect that many years of use and overload at times cause the chassis to sag a little. The car in these pictures is relatively new and everything is still much nearer to factory spec before the sag took place.

I'd agree that the cyclist seems to be a "Good Samaritan". Is that a Sirram picnic outfit sitting on the verge?

Thanks, Steve. Super pictures, I really enjoyed them.

Looks like the "Good Samaritan" is in a uniform, is that an early AA or RAC man on his cycle??

The lake-side shot looks like Derwent water from the Keswick end. I hired a boat to row out to those islands, only to be told as I was pushed off that I was not allowed to land on them! The ferry (if it is a ferry) could be the Windermere one, assuming they were taken around the same time.

The anorak in me is wondering why the winged wheel badge is almost black. Just tarnished?

The Lakes photo is Windemere, the ferry is at Birkenhead.

I found two more pics from the same period.

Love the confidence in her sitting in the car whilst it is teetering on a bottle jack.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!

I noticed in the last two pictures that the original Lucas cylindrical wiper has been replaced (?) by one of the Trico semi-circular types. The earliest patent date for this unit is 1928 (https://savetrico.wordpress.com/about/), but of course, it could have been in production before the patent was granted. I've always believed that the cylindrical Lucas wiper was the only one fitted to the Seven—but, am I wrong?

The Trico one was fitted to Sevens as I have seen original screens with only one hole drilled, my observations have mainly been on cars from around 1927.

To buck that trend, my original Cup Model windscreen only has one hole for a Trico wiper and is 1926...
