Google seems to think this may be Sheffield. Atkinsons has been trading there for 150 years.

Sheffield buses were never that colour. I used to have a Standard 8 the same as the one in front of the bus and that was a 1955

Ruby registration CVR is Manchester September 1936 to July 1937, which is right for a New Ruby.
