Can anyone recommend a car transport company to move a Ruby from the Stockport area to the Midlands. I've been contacted by a lady whose parents have died and whose father owned a Ruby and wants the car moving to the Midlands.

I used a company called ProPlaters to move our Ruby. Nationwide coverage and both pleasant and professional.

According to their own website Proplaters are 'permanently closed' and Companies House' states that they went into voluntary liquidation in August.

I've used  www.shiply.com  a couple of times and not had a problem. A friend has used the service extensively to bring back cars from Europe and highly recommends it. 

In any case, it doesn't hurt to put in your requirements. You can do your own checks on the companies that reply, there's no obligation to use any of them.
