Set every block stud in place with Loctite, then they won't leak. Plus you can remove them easily if need be.

This. Thread Sealant. Just seals them, doesn't lock them. Mike

I had leaking manifold studs. Permatex thread sealer used. They no longer leak.

Have now removed the manifold and studs which were all replaced during recent rebuild. No real issues other than one stud came out along with the helicoil and one had a chewed thread for some reason.
So new studs, helicoil kit and Permatex (thread sealer I already had not high temperature) on order! Will update once all fitted................. |
